Gallen Lo remarries

Beijing – Hong Kong actor Gallen Lo married Chinese actress Su Yan last Saturday and said he was “the happiest man in the world”.

It was the second marriage for both the 46-year-old groom and the 35-year- old bride, and emotions ran high at the lavish wedding at The Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel in Beijing, reported Apple Daily.

Making wedding vows before a priest, Su said tearily: “I do, very much.”

Lo topped her pledge by saying: “I do, very, very much.”

In an interview later, the newlyweds said they were tied up with filming and their honeymoon to Hokkaido, Japan, would have to wait until Chinese New Year.

Asked who would be in charge of the finances, Lo, the star of TVB dramas such as Old Time Buddy (1997) and Secret Of The Heart (1998), said he would hand all his pay to his wife.

He was coy, however, when asked how he proposed.

Su, who had a supporting role in the film Lust, Caution (2007), said: “Whether or not he proposed, I would have married Gallen Lo, because he is a good man.”

Kenneth Ma, who stars as Lo’s brother in the recent TVB drama Born Rich, was the best man.

Co-stars including Nancy Sit and Joe Ma flew in from Hong Kong for the ceremony, which was followed by lunch.

Actress Kathy Chow, with a bandaged eye from a filming accident, actor Ma Ching-tao and his wife were also among the guests.

Lo’s 10-year-old son from his first marriage was absent, reported Ming Pao Daily News.

The actor’s ex-wife Clare Fong said the boy had to sit for his examinations. Lo and Fong divorced after 10 years of marriage last year.
