More singles in Singapore are open to using dating services to meet new people and get hitched.

This was the finding of a survey by Singapore's first independent dating review website, Club Uno, commissioned by the Association of Dating Agencies and Matchmakers, Singapore (ADAMS).

Results also reveals that a third of those polled feel that expats in Singapore present more dating opportunties and are open to dating them.

However, many Singaporean singles do not know what types of dating and matchmaking services are available. Very often, they sign up with dating agencies blindly without knowing enough about them

The online matchmaking reviewer also found that about 50% of those polled are at a loss to which dating or matchmaking agency is reputable, sound or suitable for them.

The lack of review and discussion often leads singles to join the wrong agencies, feeling shortchanged in the process.

Club Uno aims to give singles a forum to air their views and experiences, rate dating services, and glean information on services from fellow singles. With objective information, it hopes that singles can then make informed decisions about their choice of agencies.
