Intensely lovely and passionate

She is one of Female's 50 Gorgeous People and she's passionate, intellectual, caring, fun-loving...and intense?

Jessie Thia, 28, the sassy psychologist who works with children with special needs says being intense is both her biggest strength and biggest pitfall.

"I think I'm generally an intense person, always being inquisitive and trying to perform everything in a perfectionistic manner. While this drive allows me to achieve results in some situations, it can also causes me and the people around me a lot of unnecessary stress at times."

When we asked the demure-looking red head about her formula for looking good? She said: "Good food, sufficient sleep and love!"

To Jessie, being able to love and help others is important.

She explains eagerly even after being in the same line for four years: "I enjoy working with children, and to be able to make a contribution to helping those with special needs achieve their fullest potential in the society is very meaningful to me."

While there is no doubt that she is fully dedicated to her job, we asked Jessie what profession she'd be in if she weren't a psychologist.

She told us candidly: "If I didn't pursue this profession, I'd want to do something creative, like be an artist or a designer! I've always wanted to design my own place!"

Her life motto is to live life to the fullest and always be prepared for any opportunities she may come her way. She also does not believe in passing quick judgments.

"I always put myself in others' shoes before making judgments," she said.

We finally got a glimpse of the lighter side of Jessie when we got her on the topic of dating. We ask her what turns her off when she goes on dates and she said: "Bad sense of humor. Arrogance. Lack of self-confidence. And pants that are too short and hang obscenely at the ankles!"

What qualities does she look for in her ideal partner? "A caring nature, commitment and faithfulness, drive in life, passion and fun-loving," said Jessie, who sounded like she just described herself. Jessie version 2.0 - the male edition?

And what does she do for fun? Jessie tells us that she just got acquainted with photography and is keen to pursue it further but it is an expensive hobby. Jessie told us that she also enjoys visiting blogshops and watching Japanese game shows on YouTube, sheepishly admitting that she can do that for days without an eye shut.

Which part of her body is most gorgeous?

"The eyes. I think that they are the most expressive part of the body."
