THE talk about a relationship between Eason Chan and fellow Cantopop singer Kay Tse (above, right) started in July.
Kay was photographed by the paparazzi “enjoying late night suppers with Eason” in April and “behaving intimately on stage” during her solo concert in May, when he appeared as a special guest.
She reportedly also “loved sending him text messages” and “having long conversations with him over the phone”.
Also married
Heating up the scandal is the fact that Kay is also married.
She tied the knot a couple of years back with singer-songwriter Louis Cheung, 29, and they have a 2-year-old boy.
Eason, in an interview with Apple Daily last month, denied the reports vehemently.
He emphasised that he and Hilary “are very happy” and suggested sarcastically: “Maybe I should ask my wife along to my press conferences. You guys don’t believe what I say anyway.”
As to why the talk about Kay spread like wildfire and lasted so long (nearly 3 months), he shrugged and wrapped his answers in a questioning tone: “Did my manager or Kay anger anyone?
“Someone is obviously out to make trouble for us.”
