Are they dating?

Is local actress Ann Kok dating fellow actor Dai Yangtian?

Whispers of the above on the Internet had gotten netizens reacting strongly, reported a Shin Min Daily News article last week.

What made online reactions come on stronger were rumours that that pair were living together, and they were frequently spotted holding hands while in public.

But 25-year-old Dai has denied that he was dating the 36-year-old actress, and has told Shin Min that the misunderstanding could have arose because he once hitched a ride from Ann after rehearsing for a musical which they both starred in.

According to Shin Min, after rumours appeared that the 36-year-old Ann Kok was dating 25-year-old Dai Yang Tian, netizens reacted strongly.

Netizens claimed that the two were not only dating each other but were frequently caught holding hands in public, and even recently, started living under the same roof.

When interviewed this morning, Dai Yang Tian denied that such a thing ever took place.

He said: "I am usually exhausted after our rehearsals for The Peranakan Ball ended.

"In that state, I didn't want to be surrounded by fans so I asked Ann to drive me out."

"Also, we sometimes do go out together. This might have caused people to mistakenly believe that we're staying together."

He also added that the last time he contacted Ann was a month ago.

He told Shin Min the rumours about Ann Kok and him started about a month ago and he already had a talk with her over it to clear up the situation.

But Ann did not seem affected by the rumours. He said that she seemed to treat these rumours as part of her job, due to her wider experience in dealing with such gossip in her time in the entertainment circle.

Despite Ann's non-chalance, Dai said he will cut down contact with her because he is worried about the rumours affecting his fellow colleague.

Age has no barrier with true love. Falling in love with an older guy doesn't necessarily mean it will last forever.

Love is between 2 persons. Love is definitely not a sin. It is not for anyone that are not involved to pass any comments nor judgement. Aging is a beautiful process. Well unless one can forever rely on plastic surgery/enhancements (as I just learned from MSU,Rachel K), otherwise, for married or attached couples, we all know we do not keep the love going just by living on looks. Looks are superficial, what matter is what lies beneath that face. A pretty girl with enhancement whatsoever can be a total liar underneath deceiving people around her. So would you accept a pretty liar or one with a good heart and character.

To deny or not of relationship is not the issue. Dai is now 25 and Ann is 11 yrs senior. When Dai is 40, he is still handsome and young and there are many ladies homing him. Well then, Ann will be 51. Open question.

To YangTian, if you are reading this forum: GO FOR IT!

This is the 21st century. Dating a more mature woman is common. If you like Ann, why bother what others think. It's between you and her. No need to be shy about it. It actually shows your maturity and independence. It's your life and your happiness. Fans come and go. There'll be fans for you and those against you. But your true loved one may come only once in a lifetime.
