Taipei - Singer A*mei has confirmed her romance with Taiwan basketballer Sam Ho, according to Taiwan newspapers.

But on a TV show on Thursday, she said she has no plans to marry yet. Asked if Ho is also not eager to wed, she said: 'Must be. He is also confident about this relationship.

'I'm someone who will pursue love bravely. I have love now,' she said.

But she said she will not stop working if she weds and becomes pregnant. 'Each time at a concert,' she said, 'I will have this image of myself sitting and singing with a big stomach, and there will be no need to dance.'

Their rumoured romance has been of media interest since 2007 as A*mei, 36, is older than the 1.9m Ho by 10 years and shorter by 39cm.

However, when A*mei's eldest sister, who made a surprise appearance on the show, was asked if Ho was a good match, she replied: 'Who? Who is her suitor now?'
