Joanne Peh: I don't want to be seen as "hungry"

Joanne Peh may have a new potential suitor. He is none other than the Caucasian actor, who plays a lawyer in the television drama, "The Little Nonya".

Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported there were earlier rumours that Joanne was involved in a relationship with a Caucasian man.

But the rumours could not be affirmed until a source revealed that the man was fellow actor, Bobby Tonelli. He is an actor from the US.

But Joanne said that she and Bobby see each other as friends for now and have no plans to enter into a relationship.

But she added: "I am still trying to understand his background and character."

When asked about their future plans, she said it was too early to tell.

She said: "I don't want to think of the guy friends around me as potential boyfriends."

"I'll be seen by others as 'hungry' and lacking in sincerity, which is scary."

But she does want to marry and settle down eventually, especially after seeing other female artistes tie the knot.

She said: "After getting married, I can enjoy being a mother and taking care of my kids."

But she claims that she is not setting herself a target age to get married because the pressure is immense.

"For some people, it's love at first sight. For others, they might have to take it slowly."

"I think I belong to the latter group." she said.

For now, Joanne just wants to know more about the people by her side.

"It is not an easy task to understand the other party completely and to share your life with the other person. It can be a frightening thing," she revealed.

Would have gone for bigger implants

When questioned about the rumours of her receiving breast implants, she countered that she would not deny having the operation if she had gone under the knife. She also said that she would have gone for bigger implants if she did opt for the operation.

She said that she was initially flustered by the rumours. But in the end, she decided not to bother herself with it.

She said: "There are too many things that require my attention and this issue only forms a small part of it.

"I've put the issue behind me and moved forward. I hope everyone will do the same."

why a chinese girl alway like to show off with a white man....

is this a way to increase her '' standard'' or ''expensive''

most of white man come and go must faster then any other race mainly because of thier upbringing...very individualiztic......

Asia girl alway think that with white man then they are ''one step'' higher in the socialty....fact is that they are one step nearer to problems......

We're a multi-racial society, shouldn't she have the option to choose whoever she likes to date regardless of race?

It's not like she's running around criticizing men of her own race or anything, what seems to be the problem?
