Fann Wong to go ahead with wedding
by Jocelyn Lee

MediaCorp stars Christopher Lee and Fann Wong have decided to go ahead with their wedding this year, with consent from their parents.

After the death of Lee's father in February, the couple, both 38, needed to register their marriage within 100 days to proceed with the wedding.

It is customary for Chinese couples with marriage plans to wed within 100 days of a bereavement, or wait three years.

Lee and Fann revealed yesterday in a press release that they plan to register their marriage on May 16. It will be a private family affair.

The traditional Chinese wedding, including the tea ceremony and wedding dinner, will be held at the Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore on Sept 29.

They are inviting friends, relatives, business associates, colleagues and the media to the dinner.

The couple will also hold a wedding dinner in Malacca for Lee's Malaysian relatives and friends at Renaissance Malacca Hotel on Oct 11.
