JAKARTA, Indonesia: Singer Lusy Rachmawati says the sooner she and her husband split up, the better, so she can get on with her life in peace.

“She wants everything to be finished soon so they can both livepeacefully,” detik.com quoted Lusy’s lawyer Mada R. Mardanus as saying after a hearing at South Jakarta Religious Court.

The next hearing for the divorce will be held on April 16.

Lusy, who was married to director Jose Purnomo for eight years, filed for divorce in South Jakarta Religious Court early in February.

Speculation was rife about the possible cause of the split until aweek ago, when the former member of AB Three told a tabloid that herhusband had had an affair.

“I don’t want to answer that [whether the affair prompted the divorce], but Mas Jose admitted all his wrongdoings,” Lusy was quoted as saying by detik.com on Thursday.

Lusy said that, on the bright side, she had only heard rumors about her husband’s extramarital activities.

“I was lucky only to hear about it. I might have frozen to death if saw it with my own eyes. I was shocked enough just to hear about it.”

Although she also got the news from another source – through a dream, which, she said, she ignored. “The dream was so shocking. It came at the right moment and later I knew everything.” -The Jakarta Post/ANN
