Home-grown label Al & Alicia, founded in 2009 by designer Alicia Ong, has launched its spring/summer 2014 collection.

Inspired by director Wes Anderson's 2012 film Moonrise Kingdom, the new collection is called Runaway With Me and features silhouettes and colours evocative of the film's 1960s setting.

Shades such as rust, khaki, olive, pastel yellow and sky blue are prominent and the pieces include retro-infused sportswear. Prices for the 28-design collection range from $60 for a top to $328 for a coat.

The collection is available online at www.alandalicia.com/store as well as at local multi-label boutiques Little Man, Antipodean, Blackmarket No.2 and Threadbare & Squirrel.

Fans can also visit Al & Alicia's website to download a musical mix inspired by the film.
