Vivian Hsu marries S'pore-based CEO

SINGAPORE - Taiwanese singer-actress Vivian Hsu, 38, has tied the knot with Singapore-based, Indonesia-born boyfriend Sean Lee, 36.

According to Chinese media reports, the wedding ceremony was held at 11am on Wednesday (Feb 5), in a hotel in Singapore.

It was reportedly a hush-hush affair attended only by close friends and family.

Through her manager, Hsu said she is "very happy and blessed", thanking everyone for their well wishes.

She added that a wedding dinner will be held in June, but the venue has not been confirmed.

Hsu had earlier revealed to the media that the pair held their engagement dinner on Jan 25, in a restaurant near her Taipei home.

According to Chinese news site Sohu.com, the simple ring-exchange ceremony on Monday took only half an hour.

Hsu wore a red cheongsam which her mother bought for her, while Lee was in a suit. Hsu was reportedly teary-eyed at the end of the ceremony after her mother said a few words to her.

Lee is the chief executive of Marco Polo Marine and has two daughters from a previous marriage.

According to Sina.com, Hsu will settle down in Singapore after marriage to spend more time with her new family and husband.

But she has promised that she will not give up her showbiz career, and will continue to act if a good script comes along.

Chinese news site Sohu.com reported that Hsu's ex-lovers - including Hong Kong actor-director Stephen Fung, Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu and recently-married Van Ness Wu, have sent the happy couple their blessings.

Nicky Wu told the media through his manager: "I wish her happiness."

Van Ness Wu, who tied the knot with Singaporean Arissa Cheo on Nov 7 last year, reportedly said: "I'm very happy for her and wish her happiness!"

On Mon Feb 3, Hsu posted a photo on social media with her celebrity pals Ann Yeh and Ruby Lin to mark the Chinese New Year. The snap unwittingly revealed her large sparkler of an engagement ring, which netizens were quick to point out. Chinese media estimated the size of the diamond to be about 5-carats.
