Hong Kong actress Aimee Chan gave birth to a baby boy early Wednesday morning, Sina News reported.

The actress shared a photo of her newborn this morning on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, with the caption in English: "Our lives have found new meaning the minute this little treasure was born..."

Aimee, 32, married fellow Hong Kong actor Moses Chan, 42, in June this year. The ceremony was held in Paris.

Aimee then flew to Toronto to spend time with her family.

In September, Sina reported that the already five-months pregnant actress returned to Hong Kong to await the baby's birth.

Aimee told the media that the child could be a "Christmas or a New Year baby," adding that the baby would be induced through natural birth, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh.

"This is an experience, I just want to enjoy it," she said.

It is the first child for the couple.
