Hong Kong actors Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung kept a noticeable distance from each other during fashion store I.T.'s 25th anniversary in Hong Kong.

According to a report on HKTopTen, the two were seen at the same event but kept far apart, in a deliberate move which was observed by many.

The reason is because of Cheung's alleged illicit relationship with Leung, who is married to actress Carina Lau.

Rumours have been surrounding the two for years, and their reported on-off relationship is the frequent subject of tabloid headlines.

But in recent months, Leung has also been linked to Chinese actress Zhou Xun.

Lau has spoken out against Leung's cheating rumours, telling reporters: "I trust my husband 100 per cent. True love is one that is not easily torn apart."
