Singapore - Now, you no longer have to fly to Hong Kong or London to get your Goyard bags and trunks; pop right over to the French luxury leather brand's first store right here in Singapore instead.

The first Goyard boutique in Singapore will open at Ngee Ann City from late November 2013.

This luxury French trunkmaker has been crafting trunks and boxes since 1892 for royalty like the Maharadjah of Kapurthala, as well as fashion designers Coco Chanel, Jeanne Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld. Goyard bags been sported on the arms of stylish celebrities like Beyonce, Diane Kruger too.

Its monograms are still painted by hand, on top of the Goyard signature chevron print. But if you want your initials and more personalised details on your Goyard bag, you'll still have to wait.

According to Goyard, their Singapore-based "marquage specialist" will take between four to six weeks to hand-paint the intricate design of choice onto your custom-made bag, before it's ready for collection.
