Singapore - Swedish fashion brand Cos, the higher-end sibling of fast-fashion giant H&M, is coming to Singapore. Launched in 2007, the brand is known for tailored, simple designs reminiscent of Celine, Jil Sander and Marni. It is also a cult favourite of the fashion set.
Cos, which stands for Collection Of Style, will occupy a 5,900-sq ft store on the third level of Ion Orchard by the end of the year. It will carry the label's entire collection of womenswear, menswear and kidswear. Dresses will start from $69, shoes from $120 and men's blazers from $290.
The Ion Orchard store will be followed by another outlet at the upcoming Westgate mall in Jurong East, where it will occupy 5,500 sq ft on the first floor. Westgate is due to open before Christmas.
Cos was introduced to Asia in June last year in Hong Kong, followed by stores in Beijing and Shanghai.
"We have been pleased with the reaction to our existing stores in Asia and hope this will be the case in Singapore," says Ms Marie Honda, a spokesman for Cos. "The city is truly international and cosmopolitan and feels like the perfect city for us in South-east Asia."
