SINGAPORE - Luxury brand La Putri's Rouge jewellery collection marks its 40th anniversary highlighting the ruby as the symbolic 40th anniversary gemstone

The ruby is a well-known celebratory gemstone for 40th anniversaries, so naturally, luxury jewellery brand La Putri has placed the ruby in the limelight for its special Rouge collection of jewellery, part of the brand's celebrations for its 40th anniversary this year.

"We chose to create a ruby collection to mark our 40th anniversary not only because the stunning red gemstone is the anniversary stone for 40 years but also its rich symbolism of love and passion perfectly sums up what is in the heart of this collection. Conceptualized by La Putri's chief designer, Ms Goh Ying Li, the Rouge jewellery collection is an eclectic mix of over 20 pieces of rings, earrings, and pendants inspired by the distinctive elements of 1920s Art Deco period but with a modern touch. Highlighting La Putri's exceptional design and craftsmanship, each jewellery piece is a unique work of art involving meticulous detail and thought.

The Rouge jewellery collection incorporates the daring use of cabochon and faceted rubies to create a satiating mix of visual texture. This is fully witnessed in the Art Deco-inspired Rouge ring - an elaborate masterpiece crafted from white gold and embellished with both oval-cut rubies and ruby cabochon.

Another eye-catching piece of jewellery is the pair of Art Deco-themed earrings with an emphasis on texture and geometrics as per old European architectural design, with the tasteful addition of rare black diamonds.
