Her reward for dressing up has earned her a free trip to Australia to take part in the Melbourne Cup Carnival on Nov 5.
Image consultant Audrey Quek was awarded "Best Dressed to the Races" during the 18th Emirates Singapore Derby, held at the Singapore Racecourse in Kranji on Sunday.
The 38-year-old wore a red, one-of-a-kind dress bought at a boutique in Shanghai, along with a matching red-and-black hat.
Speaking to My Paper, Ms Quek said that she planned the outfit about a week ago.
She said: "As an image consultant, I enjoy dressing up. I also enjoy looking around and observing what people wear, (as well as) taking photos of nice outfits and uploading them on Pinterest."
Ms Quek likened the Derby, which she has attended four times, to "fashion shows on the field".
The Derby, a domestic race here, boasts $1.15 million in prize money.
The winning horse on Sunday was Better Life, ridden by jockey Alan Munro.
