Headline Seoul opens at Tangs Singapore
by Shi Tianyun

Asian fast fashion label Headline Seoul celebrates the opening of its Tangs Vivocity and Tangs Orchard shops with an exciting debut collaboration with Korean accessory brand Monday Edition

One of Singapore's favourite department stores, Tangs already has a reputation for showcasing emerging Asian designer labels. For July 2013, the Korean wave rides into Tangs in the form of Asian-inspired label Headline Seoul.

Headline Seoul has set up shop in both Tangs Vivocity and Tangs Orchard - the brand's second and third retail outlets in Singapore after its flagship store at Wheelock Place opened early in 2013.

The contemporary women's fashion label is driven by international trends but still possesses an added Korean flavour that will appeal not only to K-Pop and K drama fans but also to on-trend fashionistas. Headline Seoul offers three style ranges - Clean Classics, Girly Chic and Trend-led - to ensure each collection encompasses all elements of fashion from timeless and feminine to current.

Don't expect the same looks in both Tangs stores - the Vivocity store stocks smart-casual and weekend wear while shoppers can find more statement looks and key executive fashions over at the Orchard store.

To commemorate Headline Seoul opening at Tangs, the fashion label has introduced the first of its accessory collaborations - Headline Seoul x Monday Edition. The Korean accessory brand is popular in its homeland with a legion of high-profile fans like K-Pop sensations, Boa and Girls Generation.

The two collections in the collaboration smack of Monday Edition's signature style with added spunk and wit. "Pearl & Helvetica" features pearls engraved with "Headline Seoul" in - you got it - Helvetica font, and neon tassels for a touch of whimsy and pop colour. Stars in hardware in all sizes steal the limelight in the aptly named "Catch a Falling Star" collection adapted from Monday Edition's main line.

The Headline Seoul x Monday Edition has been launched exclusively at Tangs Orchard, the first store worldwide to retail the collaboration. To add to its exclusivity, only 30 to 40 pieces of each style from the collaboration have been made, so if you want one you'll need to get in quick.

Headline Seoul pieces retail from $29 to $149 and Headline Seoul x Monday Edition collaboration pieces retail from $49 to $179.

Headline Seoul is at Level 2, Tangs Orchard and Level 1 Tangs Vivocity. For more information about the brand, go to www.headlineseoul.com. Follow Headline Seoul on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HeadlineSeoul and Twitter at @HEADLINESEOUL twitter.com/headlineseoul
