Tom Cruise was my Top 5 best lover: Cher

A big thumbs up to Tom Cruise from an unlikely source.

The kudos come not for his acting but for his alleged prowess in bed.

And the compliment comes from none other that Cher, who listed Cruise in her top five list of lovers, reported the Mail Online.

In a revealing chat with Andy Cohen on Bravo cable TV's Watch What Happens Live, the 67-year-old singer gushed: "I had just the greatest lovers ever," before clarifying: "Not a long list. It's just a good list."

The iconic songstress, who claims to have turned down the likes of Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando in the past, was quizzed by Cohen about her fling with Cruise in the 1980s, long before his marriage to his first wife Mimi Rogers and before he hit the big time.

"He was in the Top 5," she boldly proclaimed when grilled by the cheeky host.

Indeed, she does have some rather impressive names on her "list". She has been linked to the likes of Val Kilmer, Gene Simmons, Warren Beatty, Eric Clapton, Michael Bolton and Tommy Lee during her illustrious music career.

She also told US talk show host David Letterman in a November 2010 interview that she came close to sleeping with Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando, but regrets turning them down.

Her first marriage was to Sonny Bono in 1969. They have a child, Chaz.

He was previously Chastity Bono, but had a sex-change operation.

That marriage ended in 1975, and days later the songstress married rock musician Gregg Allman, co-founder of The Allman Brothers Band.

In 1979, Cher and Allman divorced and it wasn't until last year that Cher was rumoured to have intentions to marry again.
