The online jokes about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's newborn baby's name have gone, well, south.

Citing a signed birth certificate at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, where the girl was born on June 15, TMZ.com reported that American reality TV personality Kardashian, 32, and American singer West, 36, named their daughter North West.

Many on Twitter had a field day with the name.

American comedian Grace Helbig tweeted: "It's one of the few things in Kim's life that hasn't gone south."

Another twitterer Ugly Kid Joel said: "They named the kid North West in honour of which direction our eyes collectively rolled."
