SINGAPORE - An eagle-eyed Stomp contributor, Ally, submitted a photo showing local star Fann Wong wearing the same dress as Hong Kong star Joey Yung.
Wong wore the dress to the Star Awards show last Sunday April 29, while Yung wore the retro gold dress at the 20th Oriental Billboard Awards earlier this month.
This is not the first time stars have been caught wearing the same outfit.
In Feb this year, Katy Perry showed up at the Grammys wearing a mint green Gucci dress with an eye-popping key-hole cutout.
However, netizens noted that Chinese actress Li Bingbing had worn the dress months earlier, to the Golden Horse Awards in November 2012.
While the kaftan draped over Li's curves, Perry filled out the dress to maximum effect, giving everyone an eyeful of her ample cleavage.
Netizens were divided over who wore the dress better, but many agreed that Li's refusal to alter the dress lent it a classier silhouette.
But nothing can be more mortifying than bumping into someone else at a party wearing the same dress.
This was exactly what happened to Pink and Shakira at the VMAs in 2009, with both wearing the same Balmain studded leather dress.
Thankfully, a catfight was avoided as the two singers laughed off the faux pas with good humour and even posed for photographs together.
