Hong Kong-based actress and model Lynn Xiong has gone to South Korea after the media reported she had split with Cantopop star Aaron Kwok, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Xiong, 33, who is from mainland China, was said to have gone for a holiday there to mend her heart, it reported.

However, Kwok was found playing mahjong for 12 hours at a centre in Hong Kong before going to Beijing for work.

When approached by the media, Kwok said he and Xiong were still friends even though they had broken up.

Kwok said the decision to end their seven-year relationship had nothing to do with a third party, alluding to Hong Kong TVB actress Christine Kuo.

There was speculation that Kuo was the reason Kwok broke up with Xiong.

She had been attacked by netizens, with some saying they would not watch Kuo's latest drama series.
