Cecilia makes a clean breast by taking a dive

BEIJING - In a country where consumers are on their guard against counterfeited and pirated products, a Chinese celebrity diving show is selling itself as a programme which celebrates natural breasts.

Most recently, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung has won the approval of Chinese netizens by signing up for Jiangsu Satellite Television's Stars In Danger, a show which challenges celebrities to plunge from great heights into pools.

The 32-year-old mother of two was alleged to have gone under the knife when she grew fullfigured in recent years. She has shaken off the speculation, however, after reports emerged that she has been training for her high-impact appearance on the programme, says NetEase news website.

The broadcaster, one of China's biggest, has said it does not invite stars with breast implants to the show because the huge impact of the water might be damaging, reports NetEase. It also excludes celebrities with previous injuries.

Other stars who have appeared, or are appearing, on the show include actress-singer Rain Li and actor-singer Vanness Wu. Twins singers Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung are among the celebrities who have dived on a rival programme, Celebrity Splash, on Zhejiang Satellite Television. But model Chiling Lin and starlet Chrissie Chau have set tongues wagging by staying away from both shows.

While Lin has cited her 2005 horse-riding accident as her reason for her absence, Chau has merely said her schedule is too full
