The mother of international superstar Datuk Seri Michelle Yeoh is pleased with her daughter's choice of husband. Yeoh is marrying Federation Internationale de I'Automobile (FIA) president Datuk Seri Jean Todt.

Datin Janet Tham Wei Chan said she was happy as long as Yeoh felt the same with the man she was choosing.

"I am very open minded and I am pleased with this relationship. I am looking forward to seeing them get married soon," Kwong Wah Yit Poh quoted Tham as saying.

Asked if Yeoh has chosen a date for her big day, Tham said the date would be finalised by Yeoh herself later.

"Yeoh has many friends all over the world and her wedding in Malaysia will be a grand party," she said, adding that Yeoh is expected to come home and visit her in the next few days.

Yeoh has been engaged to Todt, 67, since 2005.
