5 celebrity mums-to-be show off their maternity style

KRISTEN BELL, 32, ACTRESS

Wearing Jenny Packham at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards in January

The glowing actress, who is due this month, looked stunning in an ethereal chiffon gown that featured a bejewelled bodice. The dress with a high neckline and intricate beading may look a tad heavy for her tiny frame but it balanced her pregnant body well.

The contrast between the embellished top and the soft drapes also created an empire-cut silhouette that highlighted Bell's new shape without making the baby bump the focal point.

JENNA DEWAN-TATUM, 32, ACTRESS

Wearing Rachel Roy at the 85th Annual Academy Awards last month

The Step Up actress looked fabulous as she proudly showed off her baby bump in a cream and black V-neck backless gown. We love how she managed to look sexy, six months into her pregnancy.

What worked was the modified neckline, which showed off her bosom in a tasteful way. The gown was also tight enough to show off her womanly curves and display her belly, yet loose enough so it did not appear vulgar.

HOLLY MADISON, 33, REALITY TV STAR

Wearing a printed floor-length dress at the 2012 Miss Universe Pageant in December last year

Despite being seven months pregnant, the former Playboy bunny gave the Miss Universe contestants a run for their money in this body-conscious printed gown.

Its stretchy fabric was flattering and wrapped the body comfortably without bursting at the seams. Madison's patterned number also complemented her growing shape, while the prints created the illusion of a slimmer waistline and a curvy silhouette. The draped neckline and back cut-outs added a touch of sexiness without going over the top.

KATE MIDDLETON, 31, DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE

Wearing Max Mara at the Hope House treatment centre in London last month

This printed wrap dress may not be fashion-forward but it was the perfect choice for the Duchess. With its stretchy jersey material, the frock accentuated her new curves.

We love the V neckline, which elongated her frame and drew the eye up towards her face.

Also, the dress was cinched right above her growing belly, emphasising her small waist, but fell nicely at the hips, giving the illusion of a curvy but slim body.

DEVON AOKI, 30, MODEL-ACTRESS

Wearing an emerald green gown with sheer beaded overlay at the 1st Annual Baby2Baby Gala in November last year

As a former model and one of Karl Lagerfeld's muses for Chanel, we expected nothing less than perfection. And the Japanese American 2Fast2Furious actress, who gave birth last month, certainly delivered.

The strapless column gown fitted her body nicely. The sheer overlay, though slightly big, fell elegantly over her and gave the illusion of a smaller frame. Overall, a great take on boho-glam.
