No artificial insemination for Tony & Carina

Despite their dreams of having children, don't expect Hong Kong power couple Tony Leung and Carina Lau - both past their forties now - to turn to artificial insemination or a surrogate.

Carina, 47, stressed in a recent interview that she would let nature take its course when it comes to baby plans.

"Tony and I have had in-depth conversations about that. In this age of technology, we can have a baby via technological means. But we are comfortable with our lifestyle right now.

"We wouldn't mind having a surprise though, as that would be God's arrangement," she said.

Rumour has it that the actress, who tied the knot with Tony, then 46, in 2008, had tried all means to conceive, but all attempts were in vain. At one point, she even admitted that she had already given up on having babies.

Whether with an offspring or not, it looks like the two are contented with having each other in their lives. On how she would spend Valentine's Day with her other half, Carina quipped: "Tony has everything, so I would be his best gift."
