SINGAPORE - More than 400 fans turned up for the opening of H&M's second outlet at Ion Orchard yesterday.
They queued outside the double-storey, 20,000 sq ft store in the shopping mall before doors opened at 11am.
The first 205 lucky customers received gift vouchers of up to $250.
Magnus Olsson, H&M’s new Country Manager of Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Greater China, officiated at the opening.
"After waiting for a year, we are finally opening our second store in Singapore. We are very excited about this store which is strategically located in a premium shopping destination at ION Orchard. We can reach out to more Singaporeans so that they can enjoy fashionable clothes, with great quality at the best price," said Mr Olsson.
H&M's first outlet at Orchard Building opened last year on Sept 3. The flagship store saw a snaking line of more than 1,500 shoppers before the opening, some of whom started queuing the day before.
The new store at Ion Orchard will offer a complete range of fashion for ladies, men, teenagers and children. Prices for ladies and menswear start from $5.90 for a top and for $3.90 for kids tops. For the opening weekend (Wednesday to Sunday), there will be daily special buys starting from $3.90. And customers who spend a minimum of $80 at Ion Orchard will also receive an exclusive H&M pouch, while stocks last.
