Hong Kong star Ada Choi, who gave birth to her first child in May last year, a girl she named Zoë, will be making the little tyke an older sister next year, the year of the snake.

Ada, 39, took to Weibo to announce her pregnancy. "One more Little Trouble [for the family]," she posted. "I have a happy secret. Want to know? Little Tangyuan will have a companion next year!" Tangyuan, her daughter's nickname, is a popular Chinese dumpling served as dessert.

Ada's celebrity friends Zhang Ziyi, Teresa Mo, Hacken Lee, Bernice Liu and Raymond Cho responded to her post with well wishes for her and her husband, Max Zhang.

"Finally I can wish you openly," replied Cantopop star Hacken Lee. "Ryan & Rex (his sons with Miss Hong Kong 1992 Emily Lo) will have another friend to play with." Meanwhile, Sheren Tang encouraged her best friend to "keep up the good work" and have five kids.

Ada's manager said she would stop all filming during this time, but she would accept commercial work and event invitations.

Meanwhile, actress Michelle Reis, 42, is also expecting her second child. The Miss Chinese International 1998 winner gave birth to Jayden Max in 2011, two years after marrying shipping heir Julian Hui. Michelle is rumoured to be past her first trimester, though she's yet to issue a statement.
