Dress up with Heidi and H&M
by Elizabeth Kamaldin

SINGAPORE - Fashionable mums love to tog their kids out in stylish clothes.

Now, H&M and the new Babies "R" Us are making picking out new outfits for the little ones that much easier.

Last Friday, Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us opened their first side-by-side store at City Square Mall.

At Babies "R" Us, mums will be glad to find exclusive products, most notably by supermodel and yummy mummy Heidi Klum.

The Project Runway host and former Victoria's Secret model launched her baby and toddler line, Truly Scrumptious, in the United States last month.

Babies "R" Us is the first store in Singapore to bring in her line.

A mother of four, Klum, who has designed maternity apparel before and who tied up with New Balance and Amazon.com earlier this year to design a range of trendy sportswear, knows what k ind of clothes mums want for their kids.

"I designed the first collection not only with adorable kids in mind, but I also thought of all the little details to make things easier for mums," Klum, 39, whose kids are aged from three to eight, said in a press statement.

"From cool and stylish mix-and-match apparel, to fun and colourful floor-to-ceiling room decor, my Truly Scrumptious line has it all."

Prices range from $12.95 to $89.95 for clothing.

A new line is set to debut at H&M, too.

The affordable clothing store is set to release its All for Children collection next Thursday, which will feature fun fashion and playtime dress-up pieces for boys and girls.

Pink bow-detail dresses and polka-dot skirts for girls, and little blazers and colour-block shirts for boys can be found in the fashion line. But it's the dress-up section that's going to win hearts.

All-in-one rabbit suits, polar bear and flamingo masks, as well as accessories like tents and stickers, will be available.

Prices range from $7.90 for a bowtie to $99.90 for a playhouse.

H&M will donate 25 per cent of the sales price of each item to Unicef's Bangladesh community projects.
