The American singer has decided to delay her nuptials for the sake of her music.

Fans who were looking forward to her wedding to fiance Liam Hemsworth will just have to enjoy her new album first. The first single is slated to be out in the next few months.

Said Cyrus, 19, at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles last week: "I've got so much going with this record.

"I'm really excited to get married, but I kind of already feel married. I know we're forever and I don't really need a (piece of) paper (to prove that) right now."
