Vernetta Lopez's autobiography Memoirs Of A DJ was recently released in major bookstores.

But not everyone is celebrating the 39-year-old local actress-DJ's latest endeavour.

The book describes how she became suspicious of former husband and fellow celebrity Mark Richmond's relationship with another woman, identified only as B, and found an illicit love note in his car when he was away filming.

Lopez even followed Richmond secretly and saw him on a date with the other woman.

He's currently married to theatre director Beatrice Chia-Richmond, whom he has been romantically linked with in the past.

They have a five-year-old son together.

Chia-Richmond, 38, declined to grant an interview regarding Lopez's memoir, telling The New Paper: "Both Mark and I prefer not to comment to preserve the dignity and privacy of our families who have been mortified and incredibly hurt by this."

She added: "We wish Vernetta every success in her literary pursuit. And look forward to celebrating her Pulitzer when hell freezes over."
