Ladies, this radio station's made for you

Women will have one good reason to go radio gaga on Sept 3.

That's when a new radio station, called Kiss 92FM, goes on air.

Targeted at women between the ages of 30 and 50, the station will feature DJs like Maddy Barber, who will be moving from 91.3FM to helm the Morning Drive Time show (from 6am to 10am). The show will also feature The New Paper's Movie Guy, Jason Johnson.

Jeremy Ratnam, another stalwart on the radio scene, will helm the Evening Drive Time (4pm to 8pm). Also joining the Kiss 92 family is DJ and jazz diva Claressa Monteiro, who will be on air from 10am to 2pm.

Love Ryan Seacrest? Catch his show - full of hot entertainment news, gossip and celebrity interviews - from 8pm until midnight.

The SPH UnionWorks radio station was unveiled last night, during a trade launch at the Jewel Box on Mount Faber.

Ms Goh Wee Wang, general manager of SPH UnionWorks, said the female-centric station will pay attention to the target audience's tastes.

"The shows will be full of energy, fun and loads of great songs to keep listeners entertained at all times," she added.

Topics that will be discussed include travel, food, relationships and family matters, shopping and entertainment, health and wellness, fashion and beauty, as well as financial planning.

Check out the Kiss 92 Mobile App, which will offer discounts and signature events for Kiss fans. (Psst, you'll be able to influence the playlist via the app, too.)

In the meantime, SPH UnionWorks stations 91.3 and 100.3 are both getting facelifts.

From today, Radio 100.3FM will be known as UFM 100.3, and from Aug 1, 91.3FM will be known as Hot FM91.3.

Hot will continue to feature the popular Rod Monteiro and The Married Men show.
