A Russian mother who was 'fed up' with her two sons, killed them by throwing them off a 15th-floor balcony.

The two children, aged 4 and 7, died on the spot.

According to The Daily Mail, the mother, Mrs Galina Ryabkova, 30, was spotted looking "emotionless" on CCTV cameras as she tried to exit the apartment building in Moscow, Russia.

She lived on the 8th floor and was believed to have brought the boys to the 15th floor before throwing them off the balcony on Sunday.

A couple ran out of the apartment building when they saw the bodies, and asked Mrs Ryabkova if the children were hers.

She reportedly replied, "Yes, I threw them away".

Concerned neighbours who heard the bodies hitting the ground surrounded her in the lobby to prevent her from escaping.

She sat in the lobby before police arrived and arrested her.

Her husband was believed to be away on a business trip at the time.

The Daily Mail reported that Ryabkova had tried to kill herself in the past and that her husband had cheated on her.
