86% of Singaporeans want partner who can cook: Survey

SINGAPORE - It used to be that only men wanted a partner that could cook. Now the times have changed, even women want partners who are able to cook.

Along with other interesting tidbits of information, this finding was unearthed in a survey by Electrolux, a home appliances company.

Out of the 503 Singaporeans surveyed, half of whom were female, 86 per cent found the ability to cook in a partner appealing.

Another interesting finding was that 51 per cent of those interviewed said they would consume food even after the 'best before' date, significantly higher than the 9 per cent in Indonesia.

Researchers speculated that this is because Singaporeans are more educated and know that with the right preservation methods food can last longer than the given expiration date.

Singaporeans also came out as the most -oil conscious nation in Asia Pacific. Many survey participants were careful about the amount of oil and salt used when cooking at home and took note of nutritional values.

Despite 84 per cent indicating that they prefer to eat at home, more than 80 per cent dine out at least once a week.

This is likely due to the busy lifestyles Singaporeans lead, making it hard to spend time at home cooking.

Surprisingly, despite not cooking much, most Singaporeans would still prefer a functional, modern and aesthically pleasing kitchen space.

Over 90 per cent of Singaporeans said it is important to match their appliances to their kitchen design.

A lady must know how to cook.
If not, dont get marry and make hell to their hubby.
Other than cooking, a lady must also know how to do household chores.
If lazy and smelly type, dont get marry.
Stay single.

The logic is there will always be superficial (or stupid) men who put this away in return for a pretty face, a good figure and preferably can earn money also. When reality sets in, either get a maid to comfort his own wound or they bad mouth online. You get it?

My mum's sure win formula, ensure all my bros can cook so that in future need not see wife's face if hungry. I can cook so that husband got no excuse .....
