SINGAPORE - Fashion retailer Giordano will be launching the “Disney Collection by Giordano”, the second and latest collaboration project with Disney this Spring/Summer 2012.
The first collaboration, in 2005, consisted of only printed tees. This time around, there will be a full collection consisting of tees, bottoms and accessories, featuring a bolder, edgier design.
Available island-wide from May 2, the collection will feature pieces for men, women and children, inspired by Disney’s favourite characters, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.
The first launch on May 2 will feature pieces with Mickey and Minnie, while apparel printed with the other characters will only be in stores in June.
Expect classic black-and-whites, polka dots, stripes and tone-on-tones.
Other highlighted pieces in the collection are the ‘shoulder-Ball’ off-shoulder tops and Poncho tees for women.
These tie in with the collection's slogan, "Simply Me", which celebrates the beauty of being yourself.
Some prints have been skilfully hot-stamped multiple times to give it the allure of a glossy finish, while other prints have been manually ‘jelly’ printed.
Every tee is also labelled with the iconic Mickey Mouse symbol.
Look out for the pop-up stores that will be set up as part of the launch.
They will be located at Bugis level 1 (May 2 to 8) and VivoCity level 1 (May 14 to 20).
