HONG KONG actress Kelly Chen has given birth to her second child on Wednesday.

The baby weighed 6.5 pounds and was delivered through Caesarean section.

The Cantopop star said on her offical fan page that she and the baby are safe and that they will meet the fans soon.

The 39-year-old is currently resting in the hospital and will be discharged in a few days.

According to her husband Alex Lau, she will only return to work in May or June. Her two-year-old son, Chace, has yet to see his younger brother.

Industry friends such as Andy Lau and Miriam Yeung have sent their well wishes to the happy couple.

According to Hong Kong entertainment news sources, Andy's fans even quipped that the two stars can be in-laws in the future.
