I'm saving skin for nice design
by Hedy Khoo

And it's not just show, there's also plenty of 'tell'.

British tattoo artist Jo Harrison, 32, from Birmingham, has her torso and limbs almost fully covered with tattoos, mostly of floral designs.

Said Miss Harrison: 'I still do have some space on my legs to have one or two more tattoos and I'm saving them for a design I really like.'

And when she runs out of skin? Well, she can gaze at other people's tattoos.

There are plenty on parade at the Singapore Tattoo Show, which is on at the Singapore Expo until Sunday.

Miss Harriso got her first tattoo when she was 17.

'I get a mixture of reactions. Some people love them, but I have also come across parents who pull their children away from me,' she said with a laugh.

She said her mother, who is in her 50s, had for many years disapproved of tattoos, but finally caved in and asked her to do a flower tattoo for her three years ago.

All her boyfriends so far have had tattoos. Men without one usually find it difficult to understand her, she said.

Miss Harrison can't get a new tattoo at the show because she plans to wind-surf next week in Bali.
