Contestant's 'foursome' at the Estee Lauder Model Search

Student Noorfara Atilia did a 'foursome' at the recent Estee Lauder Model Search.

Guys, get your mind out of the gutter. ..

Noorfara made Estee Lauder Model Search history by being the first contestant to win four titles, including the main one.

Besides wining the Estee Lauder Model Search Grand Prize Winner Category A (ages 15 to 29), the 22-year-old won three other subsidiary titles.

They were Estee-Lauder-Carven Ong Most Couture, Estee-Lauder-Andrewsmodels Most Promising Catwalk and Estee-Lauder Model Galere Ambassador.

Noorfara is in her final year of her Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing, and will take a year off after graduating, to pursue a career in modeling.

She said that the quadruple-win was very unexpected.

"I think I won because I did my best. I believe beauty comes from confidence," she said.

The clean-sweep won Noorfara over RM100,000 worth of prizes, including an Estee Lauder Brand Ambassador title, and all expense six day/four night trip to Korea and others.

The Category B winner (ages 30 to 50) was Joanne Stevenson, The 34-year-old dancer and mother of a teenager was also shocked by her win.

"I did it to challenge myself. I think housewives shouldn't hide behind the scene and fade into the background," she says.

Joanne won RM51,500 (S$604) worth of prizes including a trip to Korea and beauty spreads in local magazines, respectively.

Another winner for the evening was Bettini Analisa , who won the Estee-Lauder-Canon Most Photo Perfect title.

"I'm glad I won something, despite me being so nervous that I stepped on my dress," she laughed.

Her prize also includes a six-page spread in local women's magazines.

The 17-year-old, who is Italian/Malay wants to pursue a career in medicine.

She is hoping that her win would lead to modeling stints that will pay for her education.

"Learning to be a doctor is not cheap, you know!" she said.

The judges for the evening included actress Erra Fazira.

Over 3,000 hopefuls tried out for the event.
