I hate my love handles, but I love my baby

All in a span of a few years, 29-year-old Sarah Tan met her husband, lived in with him, and tied the knot two years later upon discovering her pregnancy.

Now nine months old, their baby son Dylan Robert has the full attention of his Chinese-English mother, and it's been more than a year since Sarah stopped working.

Of course, it wasn't an easy transition for the former Channel V presenter and model, as she went from a hard-partying single girl to a full-time mum.

Sarah had lost contact with her friends, her contract wasn't renewed and it didn't help that she had to take a lot of flak for her pregnancy and marriage.

While moving on to motherhood takes sacrifices, Sarah revealed in an interview with Simply Her that the utmost priority in her life now is the well-being of Dylan, and she doesn't miss her old life.

"I used to be able to go out drinking and be hung over the next day, but now I've a baby to look after at 7am, and he's not going to stop even if I'm hung over," Sarah told Simply Her.

Despite having bodily insecurities after putting on the extra pounds, Sarah accepts the inevitability that her figure will not be the same again.

"I'm a little bit insecure and self-conscious, but not to the point where I'm going to do anything about it. I'd be eating my Big Mac and saying, 'I really need to lose some weight," she muses.

While Sarah is nowhere near fat, she has developed curves that only a new mom could have. But with that little extra also comes the maturity and beauty of a woman who places the needs of her little one above her own.
