Just as quickly as news of their break-up was splashed all over tabloid headlines,  Hong Kong singer-actress Vivian Chow and writer Joe Nieh are in a hurry to take their vows, shortly after announcing their intention to get married.

The couple's 19-year romance is set to culminate in a wedding that will be held on Jan 5, according to Apply Daily.

Nieh has started to look for a wedding venue that will be privy to prying eyes, with a lawyer to witness the union and family members in attendance. The couple's friends, including singer Leo Ku, have been asked to attend a dinner around the 5th.

Vivian has been criticised for letting her boyfriend call the shots in the on-off saga, whether it is to dump or marry her.
