Everybody is anticipating the most talked-about royal wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William.

All eyes were on the pair as they made their first public appearance at a cancer charity fundraising event in Norfolk in England last Saturday since announcing their engagement. And how did Kate measure up as a princess-in-waiting?

Kitted out in a black-and-white dress that was cut just above the knee, topped with a fitted jacket and small handbag, she looked elegant  as she smiled and waved happily to photographers and bystanders who were waiting to receive the couple. She also opted for heels despite the snowy conditions that have been plaguing Europe, including Britain.

The couple also proved to be popular with the public, as they received some applause as they walked into the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, where Prince William was the guest of honour.

Seems like she is all ready to embrace her royal role, even as the couple's wedding date as been set for April 29, 201, with ceremony to be held at at Westminster Abbey.
