It's the latest luxury fashion handbag label to make its home in Singapore, and we're quite sure the girls will be out in full force to check Samantha Thavasa out.

The Japanese label offers chic, girly handbags and accessories that would go down well with bag-crazy Singaporeans, and is now available at ION Orchard.

The label was founded by entrepreneur Kazumasa Terada in 1994, and now has 10 main lines that offer everything from handbags, small leather goods to jewellery.

We have the team behind multi-label retailer TYAN Fashions Group, which also owns the franchise stores in Singapore for Vivienne Westwood, Paule Ka, Vivienne Tam and Betty Barclay, to thank for this.

What's in store now is its trendy yet glamourous bags from its main line, Samantha Thavasa, with in a wide array of colours from pastels, to vivid hues and monotones. There are also collaboration designs which feature the loveable Hello Kitty, Liberty Prints and Disney collections which are most popular in Japan.  

Also available is Samantha Thavasa Petit Choice, the accessories line with small leather goods such as wallets, card cases, and charms.

You can also preview a small collection of men's line, Samantha Kingz, Samantha Thavasa New York - for the woman who knows how to enjoy herself, and Samantha Thavasa Deluxe - an exclusive collaboration line with Yuri Ebihara.

And soon-to-be available is the Samantha Vega line, which carries casual styles that are practical but trendy, and includes a wide variety of charms and small items.

Prices for these designer bags range from an affordable S$300 to S$500+ and $70 to $300+ for charms and small leather goods.
