Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) when US retailers offer extensive discounts and extended hours as Americans gear up to do their Christmas shopping.

The website also provides one of the lowest international shipping rates from US to Singapore.

Launched in April, a spokesperson from American Express says they have seen transactions increase by 50 per cent. Top three categories of purchases are apparels, bags and shoes and top five retailers are Polo Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Banana Republic and Armani Exchange.

5. Cardmembers will be informed when the packages arrive at their US addresses.
