- The D-Bag Bauletto by Tod's

First launched in 1997 and seen on the arm of Princess Diana, this bag has become known as the D-bag. Successfully re-launched as a new Bauletto (or tote) in the last Spring/Summer 2010 collection, the iconic bag par excellence makes a star comeback for Fall/Winter 2010 in a selection of materials such as soft calf leather, special antique-finished leather, laser-trimmed fox fur and matte croc skin. Available in hues of grey, cocoa and mauve, the rejuvenated D-Bag retains its classic structure and functionality from the brand's trademark attention to fine detailing and craftsmanship. Dual rolled handles are attached on pivoting hardware to ensure sturdiness while a zipper-top closure that ends with a new clasp safely guards your valuables.

Created only two seasons ago, this baby of a classic (in fashion years) is the product of the triumphant comeback of fashion darling Phoebe Philo as the new creative director of the French label. The designer left Chloe in 2005 to start a family and was coaxed into what she does best by luxury conglomerate LVMH in 2008 to solve the identity crisis of Celine. Hailed by fashion insiders as the next classic "it" bag for every stylish woman, the allure lies in its understated luxury of a classic vintage shape, quality material and fine craftsmanship. Details are stripped down to a bare minimum, with only a simple gold square buckle closure and hardware for the adjustable shoulder strap. To add function to the classic form, the strap can be removed to transform the lady-like bag into a clutch.
